USIJ Signs Patent Coalition Letter to USTR Lighthizer Raising Concerns about IP Protections Dropped in Final USMCA Package

On January 23rd, USIJ joined a Patent Coalition in a letter expressing dismay that important IP protections for biologics negotiated as part of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) have been dropped from the final package. The letter raises concern that this will signal to China and other countries that the U.S. will not stand behind our companies who develop cutting edge technologies and cures.
