USIJ Response to RFC re Terminal Disclaimer Proposal

USIJ responds to “Request for Comments on Terminal Disclaimer Practice to Obviate Nonstatutory Double Patenting” (“RFC” or “proposed rule”), published May 10, 2024. USIJ strongly opposes the proposed rule, which will have a devastating impact on entrepreneurs, inventors, startups and small companies that comprise the most important part of the innovation ecosystem of this nation.

“We respectfully submit that this is no way to run a patent system with the purported objectives of ours. USIJ objects strongly to the adoption of the proposed rule.”
